A Shoulder Arthroscopy is a surgery where a tiny camera, called an arthroscope, is inserted through a small cut in your skin to examine and, sometimes, repair the tissues in or around your shoulder joint.
Most patients do not experience any complications from the procedure. However, as with any other surgery, there are some risks, but these are usually minor and treatable.
The surgery takes approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours. However, preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery can easily double this time. Patients usually have to stay 1 or 2 hours in the recovery room. Most people need six weeks or longer to recover.
Surgery undertaken through an arthroscopic approach often results in less pain with a better success rate than many open methods. With the appropriate patient, it achieves a 90 per cent success rate.
A Shoulder arthroscopy will cost you around USD 2,124 to USD 2,522.
