Robotic partial nephrectomy

About
Robotic partial nephrectomy

A minimally-invasive procedure for removing a damaged kidney.

Robotic Partial Nephrectomy is a minimally-invasive procedure for removing a damaged kidney with utmost precision and ease. During the procedure, the specialist makes small incisions in the abdomen to insert robotic surgical equipment and camera. They then inflates the abdominal cavity with CO2 for creating space for surgical tools and getting a detailed view inside the abdomen for reaching to the cancerous tissue. An experienced nephrologist should be preferred for the procedure. The procedure has been able to achieve long-term positive outcomes in around 90% of cases. In most cases, patients return to their normal routine after 6 weeks.
