Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring is basically recording multiple types of Blood Pressure (BP) readings to be recorded over a 24-hour period as the patient may be woke or asleep during the process. The objective of the monitoring process is to measure BP as the patient goes about their routine like any other day. The monitoring is performed through a small digital blood pressure monitor attached to a belt around the waist and connected to a cuff around the upper arm. ABPM is best performed by an expert Cardiac Surgeon.
