Acromioclavicular Joint Repair is a surgery performed on the clavicular bone that aims to relieve pain and restore function by removing the damaged end of the clavicle bone. In the treatment, a transverse incision is made over the AC joint. The capsule is then opened longitudinally to inspect the dislocation. The process is followed by an excision of the distal clavicle of approximately 7 mm and the acromion is roughened up. The success rate for the treatment varies between 62-76%.
